When do I pay for my lab tests?

Payment must be received with the specimen and requisition. We accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover and
American Express.

How do I ship my test kit back?

1. Place a frozen ice pack in the shipping FEDEX or overnight shipping envelope or container.
2. The package must identify its contents as “Diagnostic Specimens”.
3. Ship specimens by overnight courier Monday through Thursday. The lab is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

**Specimens must be received within 48 hours of collection. SPECIMENS RECEIVED OVER 48 HOURS FROM COLLECTION MAY BE REJECTED.

I live outside the United States, can I still have a Lyme Disease Antigen Test performed by your facility?

Yes, we accept samples from physicians/practitioners from all over the world for testing.
The process is the same except sending samples back from Europe is done through UPS. Both of these shipping companies offer a 48 hour delivery service. Please see shipping instructions for details on non U.S. samples. Please contact us for any questions regarding shipping. **Please note DHL eliminated American operations and no longer delivers to CFR.

Will my insurance pay for my Lyme disease test?

The answer depends on your insurance company, many insurance companies will reimburse patients but it is the patients responsibility to submit a claim to their insurance provider.
Regardless, all testing is prepaid before a test is conducted. We accepts Visa, Master Card, and American Express.

To submit claims, patients need to retrieve a claim form from their insurance company, fill it out, and turn it in along with their paid invoice. Since CFR does not accept insurance assignment, we do not fill out these forms for our patients and are not responsible for any insurance reimbursements.

How much does the Lyme Antigen test cost?

The price of the Lyme Disease Antigen Test is $250.00. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Please visit our Pricing page page for more details.

What does the antigen test show?

The testing that we do at CFR detects the presence of organisms in the patient's blood.

How does the Antigen Lyme testing process work

You or Your physician can order the collection test kit online by accessing the ORDER A TEST KIT page contained in this web site.

When the blood sample is drawn it is returned to us in the prepaid mailer by FEDEX overnight for processing. The results are sent to your physician/practitioner’s office within 48-72 hours from the time we receive the blood.

Blood samples are accepted Tuesday through Friday. Please do not send specimens for delivery on weekends.

Can I order a lyme test kit?
YES! You or a licensed medical practitioner can order a kit. The patient, laboratory, physician/practitioner’s office Can send the blood work and paperwork back to Central Florida Research for processing.
